Sanwo-Olu to Host APC Stakeholders Ahead of July 12 Local Government Elections

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to meet with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders as preparations intensify for the July 12 Local Government Elections. The strategic meeting, which will take place at the State House in Marina, is expected to bring together party leaders, elected and appointed officials, as well as all chairmanship and councillorship candidates contesting under the APC platform.

According to a statement by the APC Publicity Secretary in Lagos, Seye Oladejo, the gathering will serve as a major mobilisation effort ahead of the elections. “This meeting will serve as the rallying point for the mobilisation of our troops towards the local government elections,” he said.

Oladejo expressed confidence in the party’s track record at the local government level, highlighting achievements in education, primary healthcare, housing, and social interventions. He added that the APC remains grateful for the support and trust of Lagosians, which continue to drive the party’s development agenda across the state.

The upcoming parley follows the official presentation of party flags to 57 chairmanship and 376 councillorship candidates last Tuesday. The event, held at the APC Secretariat in Ogba, also marked the official kickoff of the party’s campaign activities.

As the election date approaches, the APC is expected to ramp up its campaign efforts across the state, with the stakeholders’ meeting seen as a key moment to align strategies and reinforce unity within the party.
