President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Katsina State to receive the body of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, who served as both military head of state and civilian president, ruling Nigeria for a total of nine years and eight months.
Tinubu’s aircraft touched down at Katsina Airport at exactly 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, where he was received by top government functionaries, including governors and ministers.
The remains of the late general are expected to arrive shortly from London and will be transported to his hometown of Daura — a quiet, agrarian community located about three hours from Katsina — for burial.
